Petitioners, I received an email from Shirley Moon on Feb 05, 2026 regarding the progress of the Lloyd Drive / Highway 16 intersection. It appears that the MOTI continues to work on the design. MOTI may or may not be allotted the Capital funds for this intersection upgrade in 2026. The MOTI most likely works on a fiscal budget (April-March), that budget should get final approval in early April. I have asked Shirley to contact MOTI in mid April to see if this project will proceed.

Good Morning Shirley,

Thank you for your letter yesterday regarding the Lloyd Drive intersection on Highway 16.

A project manager was just assigned this project last week as we enter into the next phase of project development.

The project scope and preliminary design have been completed, and the next phase completes the detailed design

(electrical, asphalt design etc.) and we are proceeding forward with confirming funding requirements.

Our project team will be connecting with RDBN directly when we have a design and delivery timeline we can share.
