Happy Sunday Everyone!
Are you one of the many walk on passengers who commutes to work or school daily throughout the year in both directions across Stuart Channel? Do you think after approximately 50 years it would be civilized to have a small terminal on both sides with a lavatory and be able stay out of the wind, rain and cold while waiting for the Ferry? More often than not we are told to get out of our cars and use public transit. That is doable with the bus service now from the Crofton area to either Chemainus or Duncan. It can be time consuming but it's now an option.
For those who have taken the time to write Premier David Eby, a sincere thank you!
For those who haven't, please consider. If your one of those who commutes on a day to day basis for work or school on the 0630 Crofton or the 0705 Vesuvius Bay, standing in the elements in the Winter Months with upwards 25 other Patrons, hopefully you've taken the opportunity to write our Premier.
Advocating is about passion, perseverance and persistence. Collectively we've demonstrated that over the last 32 months.
With the BC Provincial Election is less 2 months away, this is our opportunity.
Thank you Everyone!

Subject Line: Please Restore The Funding for the New BC Ferries Terminals on Route 6.
Dear Premier Eby,
Both Vesuvius Bay and Crofton have never had Terminal Facilities to accommodate Walk On Passengers and provide indoor washroom facilities. Over the last 50 years traffic has increased dramatically, with little improvements for foot traffic and the overall infrastructure which is now well beyond its service life.
Please direct BC Ferries to reinstate the funding granted in Performance Terms 5 & 6 by the BC Ferries Commissioner - Eva Hage. This will facilitate the building of the Vesuvius Bay Terminal designed in 2019 and the New Design for the Crofton Terminal called Plan B for completion in the Spring of 2027.
A sincere thank you on behalf of the 2256 Petitioners on - “The Fix for Route 6”.
