This piece is about Route 5 - Swartz Bay to the Southern Gulf Islands - The Penders, Mayne & Galiano Island.
After years of collecting data and projections into the future it appears the Salish Heron after being released on the route just recently, appears not to be up to the task. BC Ferries is looking to substitute a replacement.
Just a tad disappointing for all concerned.
