The MV Quinsam is about to arrive this Wednesday. While it provides for 19 vehicles over the MV Quinitsa (44), the problem in Peak Demand Season it only represents 2 vehicles over the Bowen Queen which served the run for the last 3 Summers. 

After 57 years of service and finishing her career on Route 6, the MV Bowen Queen has been Officially Retired.

Let's all think good thought's and hope the Minister of Transportation & Infrastructure - Rob Fleming will provide the funding required to operate the MV Quinitsa on Route 6 this Spring and Summer along with the MV Quinsam.

Chair Luckham of the Islands Trust wrote Minister Fleming on March 28, 2022 reinforcing the fact that we have ferry traffic gridlock at both Fulford Hrb & Vesuvius Bay Terminals and requesting solutions.
