*The RCMP and Coastal GasLink (CGL) are back on Wet’suwet’en land without the nation's consent and they need to leave now! We must act!*

Hello everyone,

Thank you very much to everyone who has signed and shared this petition!

The mainstream media has done a bad job of covering what is actually happening and has given a false impression that its all good now. Here are the simple facts:

1. The proposal between the Wet’suwet’en and the federal government has to do with Aboriginal title - NOT the pipeline. The chiefs have brought it to the nation to be discussed. Source: https://www.facebook.com/212798726332588/posts/534146270864497/

2. In the meantime, the RCMP and CGL are back on the territory (they had agreed to retreat during the weekend talks that resulted in the proposal mentioned above). The Wet’suwet’en are still against the CGL pipeline and still don’t want the RCMP on their unceded territory. We must keep applying pressure for them to respect Indigenous sovereignty and non-consent. 3. On top of not respecting Wet’suwet’en authority and eviction order, CGL’s final report for the pipeline has been rejected by the B.C. Environmental Assessment Office. And they have not been granted one last permit they need to build but are still going ahead. It was also just reported that CGL broke B.C. pipeline rules more than 50 times. 4. We’ve just got proof that the province does have power to tell the RCMP to enforce an injunction or not as they have ordered RCMP deployment more resources be given to them while lying about there not being anything they could have done. Groups are calling for the resignation of the BC Public Safety minister. Source: http://ow.ly/IlNy50yFbiC

This fight is not over, and the fight for climate justice and Indigenous rights is far from over! The Wet'suwet'en have called for a day of action tomorrow Friday March 13th. If you are in Ottawa you can join this event: https://www.facebook.com/events/278679056432509/
