This scene needs no introduction! For over 5 years this sight is all we see as we pass the Regional Passport Office near the National Games Village (NGV) in Bengaluru. Plies and heaps of plastics, garbage and a river of plastic greets commuters, school children, residents and of course cows, mosquitoes, dogs and rats!

This issue has been reported & petitioned over and over again in the news by concerned citizens, organisations, and RWAs alike. We are now pleading to you and your offices to clean this Shame of Bengaluru! 

Why this apathy? What is stopping you? Do you not see it, smell it, fall sick from it? Do you not care about the children who have to trample over this to get to school? Do you not feel for the old and sick who are only falling sicker and dying? We challenge you to move from your plush homes even for a day and stay amongst this mess as do the thousands who do today!

Through this petition we are demanding that BBMP completely clean up the storm water drains, the piles of garbage spilling onto the streets, set up a strong door-to-door collection/segregation system in that area to ensure that waste does not pile up again, penalize heavily the violators, and sensitized the community.
