Dear Ms. Beck:
We live in a world where both parents have to work and choosing a daycare center to send your children is not a decision any of us have taken lightly. How can you trust a place you have never been, to essentially help raise your child? Will my child get the love and affection they need in my absence? Do they have an enriching curriculum to prepare my child for their next steps? Will they be supportive to my child's wants and needs? There are a slew more questions that you inquire when choosing a daycare to send your children. Every family has specific needs and expectations they require but it is also about a connection you feel when interviewing schools. We are entrusting their little lives in the hands of the director, teachers and staff. Imagine how difficult it is for some who have to send their babies as young as 6 weeks old. I am one of the many who chose Tutor Time Ronkonkoma as my school of choice because of the center director, Jennifer Ganci. Due to recent events, Jennifer is no longer with the school. We believe the actions taken were wrong. Emotions of anger, sadness and confusion run through all of us and we strongly encourage you to reconsider your decision and reinstate Jennifer Ganci’s employment at Tutor Time Ronkonkoma
Ms. Jennifer Ganci was the center Director at Tutor Time Ronkonkoma for almost 5 years. Many of us have been with her from the beginning. She has also been with the Learning Care Group for 12 years. She has a strong record of accomplishment of being an upstanding employee. She has provided coverage at other schools when needed, which proves she is a trusting leader. She created a thriving center that came from nothing and put her heart and soul into the school, teachers, staff and children, every single day of her professional career. She has worked in all capacities of childcare since 2004. Her qualifications include a Bachelor’s of Science degree in elementary education and special education, birth through sixth grade as well as a Master's degree in physical education, kindergarten through 12th grade.
Jennifer made every one of us feel comforted in a very specific, special way, which is why we chose her school for our children to attend. Her warm, inviting demeanor and positive attitude resonated with all of us. She was always there to greet you with the biggest smile. She knew the children and each of their personal attributes, making for very special connections. Our children recognize her presence is no longer there. She has left a lasting impression on all of them as well as the parents because she made herself visible in every capacity. She was available day or night and I guess you could say the school was her life. She engrossed herself into this school, the classrooms, teachers and staff. She created a close niche family amongst all of us and that family is now broken. She instituted such a happy, nurturing, enriched environment for our children. The comfort level we all once felt has diminished in such a short period and the uncertainty left behind is quite unsettling. The passion the teachers feel for Jennifer’s leadership is so strong that many of them are choosing to leave. In the end, we are left feeling confused, frustrated, upset and lost without our leader. Jennifer was the heart and soul of Tutor Time Ronkonkoma and I’m sure the decision you made did not come easily but nothing in life is finite or definite; there is always room for change, to make things right.
We, the undersigned, appeal to you to reinstate Jennifer’s position as center director of Tutor Time Ronkonkoma.
