Keep terrorists nameless

Terrorism is all about sewing fear, idiology and becoming a martyr. The media play into this trap, spending time talking about the person and their background - raising their status to what could be considered fame.
I wish to petition the BBC to make the coverage about the victims, and give the terrorist least airtime. Whilst I understand people are interested in why someone is driven to carry out horrific acts, they have no interest in a name, and wish the BBC to stop the spread of terrorist ideology however possible.
Our media has a role in reducing terrorism, by self-censoring the platform they are trying to get on.
I petition the BBC as a public service broadcaster, to use its influence to start a change in the way we report terrorism. I petition them to take this step definitively and publicly, announcing their commitment to silence terrorists, where otherwise they would have talked about them.
