Firstly it goes without saying but I have spoken to and seen well over 200+ Pompey fans views on the incident and regardless of what surrounded the incident not one is glad McGeehan broke his leg and all including myself would like to wish him a speedy recovery. (I obviously don't speak for others like Paul Cook so please reply If you have a different view from my own)

On Monday 2nd January about 15 minutes into a match at Portsmouth's Fratton Park an incident occurred whereby a challenge between Portsmouth FC's Michael Doyle and Luton Town FC's Cameron McGeehan led to the latter being stretchered off the pitch and it later turned out he had a broken leg.

The stories can be read below;
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/38495434
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/38508488

Both stories heavily criticise Pompey fans and suggest that we were booing his injury but this is 100% not the case. I am petitioning the BBC (and I hope you will agree) to report the full facts in this incident, since they are supposed to be unbiased

Here are the remaining facts also confirmed on Facebook by one of the stretcher-boys:

- McGeehan was yellow carded for swearing @ Pompey player Michael Doyle. Not as Luton reported it for punching the ground in anger.
- The Initial booing was because McGeehan was the aggressor in the tackle and 2 or 3 Luton players already faked injury we assumed he was doing the same.
- McGeehan then spat at and gestured towards Pompey fans
- McGeehan pushed away the stretcher and refused help from the medics on hand including some who were full NHS paramedics not just St Johns ambulance.

Pompey fans have self respect, we will clap anyone off the pitch from any team if they are genuinely injured but not if they show a complete disrespect to our club, our fans and our emergency services

I once saw a man fall down and gash his knee he then got up and swore at his girlfriend I didn't arrange everyone into a guard of honour as he got in the ambulance and I won't be doing so in the future. Respect works both ways. You don't automatically earn respect for being a footballer on thousands of pounds a week.
