Welcome and thanks to everyone who has signed the petition so far it is heartening to see activity start to pick up there is a spark in the air, I can feel it
I have a few things to say that I hope will encourage everyone further and inform
Firstly, something to deal with right off the top
I learned today that someone was rudely spoken to and blocked for not agreeing to sign the petition
This is not the way :) We dont need to be rude to anyone, its a free choice we are offering fans to show support and join in or not
Nobody is a traitor for thinking this is not for them, and it wont help anyone if that is how people supporting the petition behave so I can only ask please be polite we can and in fact WILL win without unnecessary rudeness
Sorry to have to bring it up at all but its an important point so best done at the off

What good is this petition? Thats a very valid question. The BBC arent going to listen to us, are they?
Well to that I say this... pay close attention...
There is an art to campaigning and I do know it. From the off with SIX WEEKS till season end we are coming together and sticking together and that is something that hasnt happened before. We are not just complainging about problems and hating it all bloody mindedly (ok even if we do! That is valid, but its not the choice Not My Doctor Who makes)
It is very important to know what you are FOR and honestly right now we dont. But if we use the space the collapse of the pretense all is well affords us and start having OUR conversation and showing OUR support for various options, and we get large enough NATIONAL PRESS write ABOUT our petition, then you bet the BBC will shift with the NATIONS eyes on it
POPFACT: It takes 1820 pensioners TV Licences to pay Jodies Salary

So for now get comfy get settled in and get ready for the ride. If nothing else WE can enjoy ourselves and as they say, come on in, the waters lovely, the internet is ripe for our message :)
After all: Are we not also STUDENTS of THE DOCTOR, not just fans of Doctor Who the show? We can be active instead of passive if we choose to be. I hope at least even the most hardned and cynical after they have already signed 2000 of the damn things can appreciate: we CAN be unique
PRACTICAL MATTERS

But we can do more
Not just share this once, but over this weekend maybe, actively go and show the petition to anyone we know who might be interested

We dont have to accept bad products that used to have the quality of geniuses, but now are just not cutting it #WithoutRespectWeReject
So #NotMyDoctorWho says YES we can save the show: and this petition is how we show our UNITY and bring the pressure that will finally force the BBC to DIALOGUE and acknowledgement of our concerns: and some of them are urgent and concerning especually around the online bullying that has gone one as well as whats on screen
Share this once a day: why not?
Go nuts with it: you wont find me stopping you: just be aware if you over do it you may get social media accounts restricted, so just be aware of what you do. You never know what quiet unassuming account will suddenly transform into a campaign powerhouse
Change Org does have a donate feature that will boost the petition on their site. I do not ask anyone to do this, but if you wish to charge up the petition on the site, its a great way to help and it would be wrong not to mention
What is our strategic approach
Well its usuall called carrot and stick, offer something and threaten something at the same time until dialogue opens, then try to get something reasonable to happen
I confess, I think of it a litlte more like WAR in one hand PEACE in the other... no-one is my enemy.. unless THEY insist on it. Anyone reading this doubting that is welcome to test me :)
So right now we are ACTIVE and we are ATTACKING, to a certain extent, with some stiff memetic canons being fired making an impact. There are many things #NotMyDoctorWho might do over the next few weeks: some of them WILL be suprising
