Today The Living And The Dead fans were told the sad news that the second season has been cancelled. On www.imdb.com The Living And The Dead received 7.6/10 stars voted by 1,212 people. The actor who portrayed the main character, Colin Morgan, has a large fan base that have been enjoying the TV programme and readily anticipating the next season. We have all been supporting the show and many of us went to see the preview in London. By cancelling the second season you have left these people on a cliff hanger and disappointed them. The fan base all think that Colin is an amazing actor who has been breath-taking in this show. Likewise has been his co-star Charlotte Spencer. The rest of the cast and crew have also been clearly working very hard and putting everything into this show. We have all seen how much they have and we communicate with them via Twitter on how much we enjoy it. It has made a community of people very happy. Now fans have come together to express their sadness at this. The Living And The Dead FaceBook page has over 4,000 likes so there are a lot of fans.

Actor David Oakes went to twitter to also express his sadness for the cancellation. He said; 'Sorry and sad to hear #TheLivingAndTheDead has been axed. We don't only want this for us fans, we want the show to continue for the cast and crew who we have all bonded with over the past few months, either through screen or via social media. It is such a waste of a good plot, amazing actors and crew.

Lastly, we would like season one to be at least aired to other countries. A lot of fans are based in many different countries where it is not shown and so haven't been able to enjoy this wonderful show as the rest of us have. The cancellation of the second season makes it even more unlikely that they will get to see more than the thousands of gifs of the show on Tumblr. It is unfair and we who have seen it want everyone to be able to enjoy it, even if it is not carried on. I think this also proves that it should be carried on to season two, as there are people from countries all over the world that are desperate to see this masterpiece. 

I think all that is left to be said is that we were all, cast, crew, fans, enchanted by this show and we are all deeply saddened that we cannot continue on the journey of it. This petition was made in hope that The BBC will see how passionate and supportive we are for this show. Thank you for reading!
