Brian Matthew, who has broadcast for the BBC since 1954 and has presented BBC radio 2 Sounds of the 60's since 1990 has been sacked!

Brian's style of presenting, extensive knowledge, melodious vocabulary and measured delivery has made him one of the most loved presenters on BBC radio.  (Tim Rice is trying but is no substitute for Brian)

This blatant act of ageism by the BBC should not be allowed to happen. As a major public service they have a duty of care and must abide by the laws of discrimination and uphold the common values of decency in society.

This is another example of the BBC losing touch with its customers, although Brain is not a high profile presenter he has become one of the most popular presenters on BBC radio 2. Don't let them get away with it, sign the petition.
