Monsanto's Roundup pesticide is being sprayed on Bayside's beautiful beach pathways and parklands. Council workers spray Roundup Biactive to control weeds and there is mounting evidence that one of its ingredients, glyphosate, may be toxic to humans. This pesticide has been linked to Parkinson’s disease, infertility and cancers. We need this pesticide to stop being sprayed immediately! The consequences of this spray could be catastrophic for the residents of Bayside. The council are making an effort to reduce usage of this horrible pesticide in Children's play areas by using pine oil and steam, showing they understand the risk of using Roundup. Alternative methods of weed management need to be implemented immediately before our children and loved ones begin suffering the consequences of this horrible product.
