Subject: Urgent Demand for Security, Stability, and Dignity in Haiti
We, the undersigned members of the Haitian diaspora, along with allies across the world, raise our voices in unity and urgency to demand immediate and effective action from the Haitian authorities to restore order and stability across the Republic of Haiti.
For far too long, insecurity, gang violence, kidnappings, and lawlessness have held our people hostage in their own land. The streets of Port-au-Prince and beyond have become battlegrounds instead of pathways to prosperity. Meanwhile, thousands of Haitians abroad—doctors, teachers, entrepreneurs, artists, spiritual leaders—are unable to return home to invest, contribute, and build, because their safety cannot be guaranteed.
🔥 Our Demands:
Immediate deployment of a clear, transparent national security strategy to dismantle gang operations and disarm all violent factions.
Strengthen and reform the Haitian National Police (PNH)—equip them with resources, training, and leadership uncorrupted by politics.
Establish a special task force to investigate and dismantle kidnapping networks and prosecute collaborators.
Guarantee protection for returning diaspora citizens, including rapid entry processing and local transport security.
Open a permanent communication channel with diaspora leaders to engage them in the rebuilding process.
We are not foreigners. We are sons and daughters of Dessalines, descendants of those who made Haiti the first Black republic. We are investors, builders, and warriors for peace. We want to return, to help rebuild schools, businesses, homes, and culture. But we refuse to walk into danger while our leaders remain silent or inactive.
We demand leadership that protects the people—not just power. We demand a Haiti where we can bring our children and show them the land of their ancestors without fear. We demand a Haiti that reflects the courage, sacrifice, and strength of its revolutionary roots.
We will no longer accept excuses. We demand action.
