BANES Council have just refused us any kind of grant to help us through this pandemic. Most other businesses in Bath have been granted money and some have already closed down. You will notice many derelict shops on Milsom Street. The council need to do more or there really will be no high street left. Where will this leave Bath as a tourist destination, which once was a thriving town centre?

We are still up and running and trying our very best to survive. We believe The Loft is one of the best shops in Bath and has become a real social hub for many locals and a destination for many tourists. Without this money we are going to struggle to survive. I am starting this petition to try and save The Loft.

We are two separate businesses here, who share a space. This technicality leaves us in a position where we are unable to access any of the Government grant schemes. We have applied for a business grant, which we were denied AND a discretionary grant and the council has deemed us not worthy. We are not prepared to go down without a fight, so please back us and sign this petition.
