Basta Geotermia Inquinante sul Monte Amiata!

In Italia le emissioni di Mercurio delle 34 Centrali Geotermiche sono pari ad 1,5 tonnellate annue, sarebbe come se intorno alle Centrali Geotermiche si rompessero ogni anno 750 mila termometri.
Secondo gli ultimi dati rilasciati dalla Regione Toscana nel 2007 in un anno vengono rilasciate in atmosfera 16.000 tonnellate di idrogeno solforato e 6 mila di ammoniaca, tutte quantità che purtroppo non vengono ancora inseriti negli inventari delle Emissioni Inquinanti dell’Unione Europea.
Queste Centrali nonostante tutto ciò percepiscono gli Incentivi per gli Obiettivi Climatici dell’Unione Europea.
Bagnore 4 che si trova tra Arcidosso e Santa Fiora sul Monte Amiata è la Centrale Geotermica più moderna delle 34 della Toscana.
Purtroppo però ogni giorno emette in atmosfera molte tonnellate di gas serra e altre sostanze nocive per ambiente e salute, l’energia che producono però è considerata Pulita e Rinnovabile.
Ad ognuna delle Centrali Geotermiche è consentito emettere ogni ora da 4 a 20 grammi di vapori di mercurio.
Spesso avvengono guasti ai filtri Amis (Abbattitori di mercurio ed idrogeno solforato), lasciando fuoriuscire più agenti inquinanti del solito.
Al momento in Europa non sono in vigore Limiti di Emissione per i vapori di mercurio in caso di guasto.
Alle Centrali Geotermiche è consentito Non Rispettare i Limiti di Emissione dei vapori di mercurio per il 14,5% del tempo.
L’Agenzia Regionale Toscana per l’Ambiente tempo fa ha dichiarato che gli Impianti Geotermici in Toscana emettono inquinanti come mercurio ed acido solfidrico e che nella Zona Sud Amiata le emissioni di mercurio sono 27 volte maggiori rispetto alla zona geotermica a nord (dove vi è Larderello)
L’Agenzia Regionale per la Protezione Ambientale ha affermato che l’ammoniaca si traduce in un aumento del PM10 E PM2.5 secondari e che le Emissioni delle Centrali in Amiata contribuiscono per il 51% alle emissioni di ammoniaca di tutta la Regione Toscana.
Come mesi fa ha ricordato l'Europarlamentare Ignazio Corrao la Commissione Europea ha anche commissionato uno studio intitolato ‘Geothermal plants’ and applications’ emissions: overview and analysis’ (“Emissioni delle applicazioni e degli impianti geotermici: quadro generale e analisi”).
Riportiamo qui testuali parole:
“Uno dei risultati parla chiaro: le emissioni provenienti dalle centrali geotermiche dipendono fortemente dalle condizioni geologiche locali e possono essere importanti e dannose.”
Basta con il continuare a dare incentivi destinati alla riduzione dell’effetto serra per centrali che invece emettono più delle centrali a combustibile fossile.
Come Cittadino Attivo ed attuale Capogruppo del Meetup Arcidosso 5 Stelle sul Monte Amiata mi sembra assurdo che ancora oggi non esista un limite delle soglie di emissione nell’ambito della Direttiva Emissioni Industriali.
Chiedo che si decida di inserire questi limiti di emissione delle centrali geotermiche nella Direttiva 2010/75/UE e di togliere gli incentivi alle Centrali produttrici di sostanze climalteranti, come quelle a tecnologia “flash” attive in Toscana.
Inoltre chiedo che il Governo Italiano blocchi i nuovi progetti geotermici sul Monte Amiata e di attuare tutte le procedure possibili affinché si possa tutelare da ora in poi non solo il Monte Amiata e i suoi abitanti ma tutti i luoghi sensibili a questo tipo di produzione di energia in tutta Italia affinché non ci sia più un luogo sacrificabile.
I borghi dell'Amiata che in totale contano poco più di 30 mila abitanti vogliono lo sviluppo si, ma del turismo valorizzando il suo Patrimonio Storico-Culturale e i suoi Prodotti Locali.

I ask that a decision be made to insert these emission limits for geothermal plants in Directive 2010/75 / EU and to remove the incentives from the plants producing climate-altering substances, such as those with “flash” technology active in Tuscany.
I also ask that the Italian government block the new geothermal projects on Monte Amiata.
The villages of Amiata which in total have just over 30 thousand inhabitants want development, yes, but tourism!

Secondo gli ultimi dati rilasciati dalla Regione Toscana nel 2007 in un anno vengono rilasciate in atmosfera 16.000 tonnellate di idrogeno solforato e 6 mila di ammoniaca, tutte quantità che purtroppo non vengono ancora inseriti negli inventari delle Emissioni Inquinanti dell’Unione Europea.
Queste Centrali nonostante tutto ciò percepiscono gli Incentivi per gli Obiettivi Climatici dell’Unione Europea.
Bagnore 4 che si trova tra Arcidosso e Santa Fiora sul Monte Amiata è la Centrale Geotermica più moderna delle 34 della Toscana.

Inoltre chiedo che il Governo Italiano blocchi i nuovi progetti geotermici sul Monte Amiata e di attuare tutte le procedure possibili affinché si possa tutelare da ora in poi non solo il Monte Amiata e i suoi abitanti ma tutti i luoghi sensibili a questo tipo di produzione di energia in tutta Italia affinché non ci sia più un luogo sacrificabile.
