NOT ON OUR WATCH! 

Many of us are sadly aware that puppy mill operators have been circumventing laws and regulations, exploiting dogs by disregarding their health and well-being and gauging consumers for financial gain for a very long time. In 2017, Bartholomew County's Board of Zoning Appeals was faced with a Conditional Use Application requesting zoning permission to operate a dog breeding commercial enterprise upon the applicant's residential / Ag preferred zoned real estate in Bartholomew County, Indiana. The board denied the application in 2017 and we were able to breathe a sigh of relief. Fast forward to September 22, 2020 and this same property owner is trying to take a second bite at the apple. Using slightly more vague language this time around, the property owner has filed another Conditional Use Application essentially seeking to allow him to operate a dog breeding commercial enterprise upon his residential property in the same area. 

Please use your voice to help these animals who cannot speak for themselves. No dog deserves to live in the conditions that puppy mills present and it is up to the residents in Bartholomew County, Indiana to voice their objection to this type of appalling business operation in our backyards.
