30 FOR A REASON is a campaign aimed at reducing the speed limit in Millhouse Green from 40mph to 30mph to improve safety, reduce risk and ultimately save the lives of schoolchildren within Millhouse Green.

There are 77 Primary Schools in Barnsley and Millhouse Green is the ONLY Primary School with a single lane 40mph speed limit outside its gates. The speed, combined with such narrow footpaths outside the school, necessitates change. The required COVID precautions have put even more stress on the road with extended arrival and departure times for children. The school has long been fighting for a reduction in the speed limit and fully supports the campaign.
