Dear All.
Below is a letter we have just sent to the council asking for an extension of the deadline of the planning application as they are only giving us a few weeks.
Dear Sir or Madam.
We are trying to access planning application 15/04005/FUL either by the application number or by post code as advised by your website.
The link is not working at all time and we were wondering if that is done on purpose and for what reason?
COuld it be because the deadline is on 29th July and the council does not want people to object as it wants it completed asap and residents have not been consulted anyway?
We do understand that you are in a hurry to go on with your other projects of building the 1600 flats on NLBP and moving even more vehicles and waste in the industrial area between Brunswick park road and waterfall road. We do understand that you are eager to line the pockets of the same individuals as rumors have it
We do understand that the council wants to make more money from selling luxury flats in Mill Hill in a land that is contaminated.
We do understand that you had a well thought plan to submit the application in the middle of summer when families are on holidays so you have fewer objections
We do understand that you do not want people to point out that your well thought plan is a plan that is actually increasing traffic, is a health hazzard and increases vermin and noise pollution.
We do understand that it is an initiative that has not consideration in the planning and the environment
We do understand that you are confident that planning application will be approved as it is a case of the council approving the council and that is how you understand democracy and transparency in a council that gets decisions through with the Mayor;s casting votes and has residents gathering signatures and asking for ward councillors to resign.
Not all of us residents living within 20 mts from the proposed waste depot have received note that the planning application is submitted and we learn by word of mouth or at our gatherings.
It has taken the council officers more than 6 months to put it together and we have less than three weeks to object about the dumpster you are planning for us in our heavily residential area.
However we kindly request that the deadline is extended by at least 6 weeks.
Looking forward to hearing from you asap.
Kind regards
Stamo
