Barnard should allow p/d/f options for courses toward major or concentration requirements

Barnard should allow p/d/f options for courses toward major or concentration requirements
The Issue
Recently, both Columbia College and SEAS announced changes to their pass/d/fail policies by removing the restriction on the types of courses allowed to be taken p/d/f. Further, students will have until December 14 to decide which fall semester course they would like to take p/d/f.
However, Barnard College has not followed suit. With the fall semester being entirely online, students should be allowed greater freedom to choose the types of courses they would like to take p/d/f, including courses counting toward major or concentration requirements. Many students are also not aware of the option to take classes p/d/f with the ability to uncover their passing grades up until January 22. Since Barnard's p/d/f deadline has passed (Oct. 8 for Fall A courses and Nov.19 for Fall full-term and Fall B courses), this petition also calls for an extension on the deadline to p/d/f a class until December 14.
