If a company did that to its workers, there would be a national outrage and then government would be helping.
THIS WILL AFFECT YOU !!! From the local mechanic, the plumber, the pubs, the butcher, the servos to the hairdressers and so on this will become a chain reaction affect on all of us. The dairy industry is in crisis, agriculture in Australia is in crisis we need agriculture Australia is agriculture!!
YOU can help STOP our dairy farmers from going down the drain. Buy Australian, buy brand name and have a voice your opinion because it counts!! Our voices are loudest at Election time. Inundate the following MPs & farmer representatives (& others) with phone calls, emails or Twitters. Tell them our Dairy Farmers Milk is worth more than 13 cents a litre ( & minus the 2.70 cents per litre milk pick up charge). Farmers need urgent & immediate economic assistance (it's been done for other industries). A Federal Review of the Dairy Industry is required to address its current decline & potential collapse. This should include putting a stop to the milk price control by the large supermarkets. It is a State & Federal issue.
