Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) have outsourced seated ticket sales to an exclusive agent, Island Leisure Lanka. This company wish to charge English cricket tourists an average £50 a day (plus overseas bank charges) for a basic seat. This is double the price from the last tour (2012). On behalf of the huge numbers of independent cricket supporters that wish to make this popular trip we say this is blatant profiteering and is adding a significant unplanned expense on to those tourists that have already booked flights and accommodation. The inclusive 'value additions' of tour merchandise and six drinks are neither sought nor wanted by the vast majority of supporters.
