We respectfully request to provide us street lights in our Barangay (Brgy. Salog) for the visibility and safety of people that is passing by in the streets, especially at night. For years in our residence in our hometown, Sorsogon City, I’d never encountered cases such as holdups and physical injury but lately, one of our peers was a victim of such violence. We never expect that it will happen to her. We think that Sorsogon City would be a safe place to walk and mingle around compared to other cities like Metro Manila, Cebu City, Legazpi City and other cities in our country.

            We would like to create a Change.org petition and a wordpress blog to promote this petition. This petition aims to inform the people of Sorsogon City especially in our Barangay to act on this problem that once we encountered, may not happen again to others.  We dream for a safe place to walk around even at night without fear and a peace of mind. The scope of this project is to be able to reach the Barangay officials of Brgy. Salog, Local government officials of Sorsogon City, Philippine National Police, Sorsogon National High School and other concerned citizens.

            This project would have a time frame of maybe 1 month because we will be promoting this petition using wordpress.
