The Chicken  Poultry located between the locality of Brgys Lanag / Nagbangi, Leon, Iloilo, Philippines has been operating for more than 10 years. Many petitions have been submitted in the past to call the attention of the operators about the flies (Langaw) the poultry has brought into the nearby communities and school especially during harvest time. As a resident, this recurring flies infestation is just beyond compare. The flies fluxed into homes that may  bring health risks, damage to properties and inconvenience to local residents and school nearby.

After harvest, we could not eat properly because flies cover our food. Flies also follow us around. In many occasions,  it also smells from the chicken droppings. We have to eat under a mosquito net to keep us away from flies and to secure our food from contaminants that flies may carry with them.

Flies also left droppings to our household amenities that if not cleaned on a daily basis may damage house fixtures, paints and accessories.

Flies also prevents anyone to rest on day time as the they land on your clothes and skin. Mosquito net has be put in so that we could rest and eat properly.

There are other poultry operations around yet complied strict measures to avoid flies infestation.  But the poultry operation nearby has brought many flies (Langaw); plus the  poor drainage system and inadequate structural set up had caused damage to the water source. We don't use our own local water source in our old house because it stinks and tasted foul.

I demand for a fair poultry operation that complies health and sanitation requirements; and implements measures to eliminate flies especially during harvest time. We also demand for compensation if water sources are proven contaminated and/or flies had caused damage to properties from the poultry operations.
