Tell the CDC That Chronic Pain is Disease and to Stop Taking Away and Reducing our Opioids

Tell the CDC That Chronic Pain is Disease and to Stop Taking Away and Reducing our Opioids
The Issue
By signing this petition I support the rights of Legitimate Chronic Pain Patients to receive desperately needed medical treatment, including the use of opioids.
More people are affected by chronic pain than heart disease, diabetes, and cancer combined. That is 100 million Americans. Some of these chronic pain diseases are rated among the highest on the McGill's Pain Level Index. With no cures or effective treatments, we are left with few options to maintain quality of life. One of these options is the legal use of opioids by a legitimate prescribing physician to help manage moderate to severe Chronic pain. The right to quality of life is not a negotiable point, nor should it be stigmatized. Removing Opioids as part of pain management for the disabled or long term chronic pain patient is unjust and the opposite of Do No Harm. People should not needlessly suffer, because of untreated or undertreated pain.
We are not the enemy. We are not the face of addiction, or the war on drugs. We are the face of those with an Invisible Illness. We are the face of the disabled. We are the face of the people. We are the faces of your sons, daughters, sisters, brothers, mothers, and fathers. We demand the President, US Congress and State Legislature protect the rights of chronic pain patients to receive the best medical care, including the use of opioids for pain management.
We demand a review of the policies and actions by the CDC, DEA, FDA, State medical boards, law enforcement agencies, hospitals, pharmacies, etc., that continue to prevent legitimate treatment of chronic pain
