Something that always bothers me is seeing various makeup companies test on animals. I hate seeing that some companies aren't cruelty free, especially if I love their products. I feel that bigger companies (ex. M.A.C. cosmetics) should be certified cruelty free. This is a very important matter and should be taken more serious than it is. If someone, higher up, took the time to look and actually say something, then it's a guaranteed change made. These animals that are being tested on don't have a say, why is that? They should be treated like a living things and not test subjects. If makeup, or any other company, wants to test out their products then I think they should take human volunteers. If it is a human volunteer, then they actually have a say and don't have to be tested against their own free will. I think it is despicable and inhumane to poke and prod at a defenceless animals, this is an issue and needs to be addressed. My real point is, these animals don't wear makeup, they don't put on perfume, they don't drink, they don't drive, they don't smoke, and they don't use paint, so why should they suffer for our sake?
