We, the undersigned, want an IMMEDIATE HALT to the transport and sale of equines intended for slaughter in Mexico and Canada.  They are being taken to Kill Pens, Collection Lots, Feed Pens and Auctions, and are being driven to slaughter, by the hundreds. Some are being offered up for sale prior to being shipped, which folks are scrambling to get the funds together, last minute, to Save them and give them loving homes or brought to Rescues. We wish that to continue, BUT the transport to STOP.  We feel the domesticated ones are PETS, and the wild ones should stay where they are, as they are not bothering anyone. There is a Safe Act being presented to Congress in October, BUT it is far from becoming law...... and thousands will be slaughtered between now and whenever it will be finalized. These equines were not raised for slaughter, they were raised to carry children and adults around, to bring joy.. to become beloved family members, to race and do dressage etc . They were not intended to end up in a slaughterhouse. Please put an immediate halt to this. We will be filing a HABEAS CORPUS in Federal Supreme court in the near future, and will download all these signatures to present to the Court. We feel the law that makes it legal to transport equines over our US borders for slaughter should be reconsidered and amended..... but action should be taken NOW to put a stop to it  We thank you for your concern and compassion.
