GMO Labeling is a Moral Obligation!! The Dark Act is a slap in humanity's face!!
The Issue
The dark act that was signed into action last week by our president is a disgrace to our democracy!! It basically makes a lot of gmo foods not gmo enough to be labeled!! Then the ones that are deemed worthy of gmo labeling by our dear federal government are not actually labeled that they have gmo's! They instead will either have a barcode on them that you can scan with your smartphone. Or the other option that I heard about was possible 800 numbers to call. Honestly this is a far cry from a reality of gmo labeling. The fact that the poor and lower class are again being targeted by large corporations such as Monsanto is disgraceful to our being! You might ask how this is happening? Well I just told you, the only gmo labeling will be a bar code scanable by your smart phone!! There is a large percent of this country that does not posses a smart phone simply because they can not afford them. But these people don't matter to large corporations not even the federal government it seems!! To add insult to ingury, progressive state laws that have been passed requiring gmo labeling have been nullified!! In such states as Vermont, before this federal law was enacted, stores and merchants were being boycotted by large food company's because they didn't want to make special labels just for certain states!! Are you kidding me that is ridiculous, possibly what is more ridiculous is what they are trying to hide from us. What is so scary about knowing that your food is gmo or not!! People would be forced to wake up to what is really going on with our food sources. Better yet large corporations would be forced to manufacture wholesome food!! This would all be triggered by forced moral empathy of human kind by our federal government!! Is that not its job? To protect and do what's best for their citizens! I think it is people!!
That's why this is so important for us, for our children, and their children's children!! If we truly love our family and future generations then it's time to step up and sign this petition to overturn the dark act!! Stand as a nation and a human race and say enough is enough!! Start protecting us or we will find someone that will!!
