Sarah Jo Pender has been imprisoned since 2000 for a crime she did not commit.  She was convicted of double murder in the State of Indiana.  It wasn't Sarah who killed her roommates, but rather it was Richard Hull, her boyfriend that brutally murdered them both while she wasn't even at home nor did she have any involvement in planning the murder.  However, out of misplaced love, immaturity and fear, she helped him dispose of the bodies and clean up the evidence.

However, the state of Indiana will not grant her a new trial based on evidence that has come to light since her conviction.  That new evidence was so convincing that even the prosecutor who tried her, Larry Selles, said he wouldn't have tried her for murder.  I ask you to consider honestly - how often does a prosecutor say something like that publicly?

Sarah's mother, Bonnie Prosser, is not in good health, and her wish is that Sarah be free from prison before her health fails her.  It's very stressful and heartbreaking to have your child be locked up for crimes they did not commit.

President Obama had said that he was serious about criminal justice reform - Sarah Pender has spent nearly twenty years of her life in prison for a crime she did not commit - all we ask is that her case be granted major consideration for either clemency or reduction to time served.  Thank you!
