Change the 13th amendment! Abolish slavery even if convicted of committing a crime.
The Issue
The whole police brutality/ anti-cop mentality sweeping the nation can be traced to the 13th amendment. Slavery was never abolished, Lincoln privatized the industry in our prison system. Cops are by definition, slave catchers. Every aspect of our "justice" system revolves around you must work for free or pay us money you worked for. If we change the 13th amendment and remove the phrase "except as punishment for a crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted" we can stop private corporations like CCA and GEO Group from in the quite literal sense profiting from the enslavement of the American People. Anyone lining their pockets with these dollars should be arrested for high treason and no longer allowed to use their lobbyists to effect laws condemning our people to a life of corporate state servitude.
