In November, CBC News reported that more than 70% of Canadians support a ceasefire in Gaza to allow humanitarian aid to enter the region. A Reuters poll also released in November revealed that 68% of Americans support a ceasefire. 

Public support for a ceasefire reflects the objection to Israel's continued violence against the Palestinian people. According to Al Jazeera, at least 30,631 Palestinians, including at least 12,300 children, have been killed and at least 72,043 people have been injured by Israeli army attacks since October 7, 2023. 8,000 more people are reported missing. 

Israel also targets Palestinians by denying them food, safe drinking water, and other humanitarian aid. The World Health Organization published a report in February, citing that 90% of children under the age of two and 95% of pregnant or breastfeeding women face severe food poverty. 90% of children under the age of five are affected by one or more infectious diseases. 

Jesse Pollock not only encourages the atrocities Israel commits, he uses his X account to belittle, harass, and threaten people, some as young as eighteen years old, who oppose Israel's horrific actions.

In a further act of solidarity with Palestinians, the Irish got crushed 87-57 by the Israeli team [laughing emoji]. Attached is a picture of the Israeli basketball team, showing the final score of the game as Israel 87, Ireland 57."

 

He claims to speak for all Jews and constantly implies that all Jews are Zionists, despite widespread movements among Jews in support of Palestine now as well as throughout history.

There are just over 16 million Jews in the world and 7 million live in Israel right now. So many of us have been there, even lived there. Some of us have family and friends who have been murdered and are being held hostage. He only speaks of the on October 7 attacks by Hamas on Israel while refusing to acknowledge any atrocity committed by the IDF against innocent Palestinian civilians before or since that date, like the Nakba. Most recently, he wrote this post on X, insinuating to an eighteen year old Palestinian woman that she would be sexually assaulted by Hamas.

Jesse Pollock's amplification of genocidal rhetoric is downright dangerous, and his status as the face of BarDown reflects the company's values. We demand his immediate and permanent removal from all BarDown and TSN programming.
