Banning of Puppy and Animal Sacrifice Worldwide

Banning of Puppy and Animal Sacrifice Worldwide
The Issue
Animal sacrifice including puppies, goats, cows, pigs, chicken and any sentient being for that matter should have no place in a compassionate society and least of all in the name of spiritual or symbolic gestures for ‘peace’ offerings or ‘cleansing’ of bad spirits or eliciting wealth and fortune.
The gruesome and cruel act can in no way bestow peace and good. It is the only acts of kindness, giving, compassion and unity alone in every sphere of life that we can forge a conscious and auspicious life.
Gading, a three month old puppy was slaughtered in Bali, Indonesia after she was taken away from birth and caged for the entire time to ‘prepare’ her for this ‘sacrifice’ to purify and cleanse any ‘evil’ spirits by those who decided to make this horrific ‘offering’ to bring luck and good spirits into their lives and business.
Gading, named by the people who captured her was fed through a cage and confined to the small wired cage where she could barely stand and lie down, with no blanket, no comforts and no freedom of any sort. Whenever she was allowed out for her to pee and poop she played with her captors, who unknown to her were the very people who were going to walk her to her sacrificial altar.
We wrote to the minister of Tourism in Bali appealing for intervention but failed to get a reply. After desperate failed attempts to secure her release, we pleaded with a Balinese local to hand over a blanket so that she could at least lie down in the cage without the wire poking into her little body and handed over a leash and requested to let her out for walks whenever they would allow it.
We also asked if we could sedate her for the event so that she would not be conscious during the horrific moments she would be pierced and beheaded. Our
request was rejected as the owners said that it would render her ‘impure’ for the sacrificial rituals. She endured horrific pain while being fully conscious.
We ask you to sign this petition to appeal to the people of Indonesia and the world over where animal sacrifices are carried out to ban the practice of animal sacrifice and instead offer their pledge of compassion as a symbolic gesture in the place of animal sacrifice.
Animal sacrifice is ingrained in many cultures and rituals world over. According to data form Humane Society International, millions of animals are killed in the name of tradition and culture world over. Such practices infringe on the principles of compassionate adaptations to more relevance to present times.
You can save puppies like Gading and millions of animals from such horrific ending by signing this petition to all the nations that practice this.
