Banning of Culls on First Nations Reserves in Saskatchewan

Banning of Culls on First Nations Reserves in Saskatchewan
The Issue
As we all know. A good number of First Nations Reserves here in Saskatchewan conduct what we call "Culls". This is when a First Nations Community is overrun by dogs who were either brought in by some of their community members just to let wander having puppies and to fend for themselves, or outsiders dumping their unwanted dogs off. After a while, these dogs become aggressive because of abuse by others on the reserve, or starving or both, but not all the dogs are aggressive that are on the reserve, they are just scared. First Nation Band Members will then post a "Notice of a Cull" for its members to see. In some cases, the Band Council will ask for help from some rescues here in Saskatchewan or the person they hire to execute the dogs and what dogs or puppies will call out to the rescues, but not all of them will do that. Whatever dogs or puppies are left. Becomes the victim of a bullet and is tossed into the landfill like garbage.
People feel this is a barbaric way of dealing with the issue, of how First Nations deal with the problem, which I agree. There are several positive ways for the reserves, and its council members to deal with this issue but elect not to act on it.
The dogs that are roaming these reserves didn't ask for this to happen to them and some dog rescues here in Saskatchewan are not able to help because they don't have enough fosters to help out
According to the office of the Minister of Agriculture, who is in charge of the Animal Protection Act and the Minister of Indigenous And Northern Relations. We need 100,000 signatures for it to be read in the Saskatchewan Legislation for consideration. By signing this petition, you are seeking positive changes for these poor souls who didn't ask for this to happen to them.
