Description of the Problem:

In the United States, there is a problem. The problem is that innocent Animals are getting abused in order for beauty, and people are getting away with it. Although there are 13 states Banning this issue there are 37 other states that allow cosmetic testing on Animals.   

Why it’s a Problem:

Part of the reason I am a member of this group is that I believe we share the value of fairness and humanity. The problem that is happening in our community is that animal’s rights are being violated and this value is not being upheld. Animals are not being treated the way a person would; even though they are not human, they still feel emotions and pain. Our community says it values equality and humanity, but what is happening goes against that value because companies are testing their beauty products on animals in harmful ways. The fact that the sale of cosmetics that has been tested on animals is happening in my community is a problem. This problem matters to us because animals don't have a voice, and there are other alternatives.

What Should Be Done About It:

We, the undersigned, ask that you address this problem by supporting 

S. 263/H. 426:An Act to protect consumers from contributing to inhumane animal testing for cosmetics.  20 state representatives and 6 state senators have signed and supported this bill and we ask you to do the same. We respectfully demand  passage of this bill against the sale of cosmetics with animal testing because Animals don't have a voice to speak up for themselves, they are getting burned, drowned, suffocated, and impaled, just for beauty, and there are alternatives. This solution will help us live up to the idea of all being born free and equal, because Animals are being born just to die, and if we pass this law, this will make that right true.  The idea that seeing animals being harmed for beauty has encouraged me to use my voice to compel our community to change.
