I've received a letter from the Bank of Canada in response to my correspondence on February 19th (http://www.heroines.ca/celebrate/currency3.html). You will see that I asked some tough questions about statements made previously by Bank of Canada Governor Stephen Poloz, but received no answers. The latest letter from the Bank (http://www.heroines.ca/celebrate/currency4.html), this time signed by Senior Deputy Governor Carolyn A. Wilkins, again indicates no willingness to commit to include Canadian women on bank notes anytime soon. Please encourage your friends and colleagues to sign the petition if they haven't already done so. And as a federal election looms, please ask your MPs to stand up for the amazing women in Canadian history who should be celebrated on our notes!
