#WEWANTJUSTICFORBANGLADESH

The Issue

Numerous of Bangladeshi students and kids are protesting for justice in Bangladesh. 2 innocent lives were taken due to the sickening roads we have in our country. More than 4,200 pedestrians were killed in road accidents in Bangladesh in 2017, a 25% increase from 2016, according to private research group the National Committee to Protect Shipping, Roads and Railways. Bangladesh HAS to enforce stricter road laws, vehicle laws, and fix their roads. The unfinished roads and the noisy and crowded streets cause innocent lives like these to be gone. Not ONE more kid has to suffer with injuries or the lives of their friends lost. As a Bengali living in America, i believe Bangladesh should spend as much as money needed to help make the country a better place. A country where "races" don't occur on public streets. A country where almost every high school and college students AREN'T protesting for their lives. A country where 2 lives are worth more than every vehicle in the world. IF our generation's voice isn't heard, then more people like Abdul Karim Rajib  and  Dia Khanam Meem can be walking throughout the busy roads and get killed. This is the horrific truth about Bangladesh. The country that fought for its language and independence. WE NEED more laws, laws for driver's license, vehicles, roads, and signals should be implemented too. The incomplete roads have to be complete, the "flyovers" and streets need to be safe so young children and families don't get hurt.
