Stop buses from using shrill air horns inside city

When you enter Bangalore, Shut up!

This is the message from citizens of namma Bengaluru who are fed up with monster buses terrorising vehicle owners with their shrill air horns on city roads.

These private buses that ply to nearby towns not only weave their way by driving rashly but also scare other road users with their shrill horns which are not permitted within the city by law.

They use it to bully their way on all routes leading in and out of the city.

These ear-splitting horns are completely being ignored by traffic police and RTO. They have to take action under MV Act Section 190 Clause (2) which allows fine of Rs.100 for this offence.

Though they are not permitted to be used inside the city limits, the traffic police seem to be turning a deaf ear to them.

Most bus drivers claim these horns are meant for highways but use them within the city too which is the only way to keep the bus moving.
