The character Klonoa (known in Japan as "Kaze no Klonoa") was first introduced in Klonoa: Door to Phantomile for the Sony PS1 in December of 1997. Thus far, Klonoa has only had seven games (eight if you count the HD remix of the original game on the Nintendo Wii from 2009), each games receiving anywhere from 77 to 98%. Klonoa unfortunately is an underrated diamond in the rough. In making a third installment, Namco would excite older fans for a new entry, and at the same time, possibly gain new fans.
