Localization of the Playstation Vita Game Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth

The Digimon franchise has defined childhoods worldwide for almost two decades. As we the fans grew up, Digimon grew with us, adopting more mature concepts and elaborate plots. These changes widened the audience and promoted the creation of toys, card games, new television series, and most importantly, the video games.

For most, the first exposure to the games came with Digimon World for the original Sony PlayStation. Year after year, new and exciting games were released in the Digimon series, encompassing many genres of gaming from Role Playing Games to Fighting Games, and even a Racing Game.

Unfortunately, many games were never able to reach Western audiences. The last game to see an overseas release was Digimon World Championship for the Nintendo DS in 2008.Since then, five more games have been released exclusively in Japan.

On December 23rd, 2013, Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth was announced in Japan,  exciting not only Japanese fans, but many Western fans as well. At this time, very little information on the game has been released, but the screenshots, designs, and developer commentary shown in Japanese gaming magazines have generated a substantial amount of excitement.

We are confident the PlayStation Vita audience in North America and Europe will welcome the localization of this game.

What we ultimately request is the localization of Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth to Western markets so that we may continue to enjoy the franchise that so greatly impacted our lives growing up.
