Bring the physical edition of "Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth" for PSVita to EU and NA
Il problema
After the successful "Localize Digimon games again" petition we were very pleased to learn that "Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth" for the Playstation Vita was going be released in Europe and North America.
However, what we did not expect was that the game is going to be released physically not for its original platform, but only for the Playstation 4, in both Europe and North America.
Considering that most of the original Cyber Sleuth petition supporters were PSVita owners looking forward to play the game, which at the time was exclusively on the PSVita, we find the decision to release the game physically only for an audience that wasn't an active part of the original Operation Decode petition highly disconcerting. Adding to that, the PSVita is a region-free system so not being able to import an english physical copy of the game from any region is very frustrating.
PSVita owners are willing to support the physical release of games to a great extent, as proven by the many successful Limited Editions released for the platform such as Ar nosurge Plus, the upcoming Atelier Escha & Logy Plus or the more recent initiative from "Limited Run Games" to release limited physical copies of digital games such as Breach and Clear, which sold out in a matter of seconds.
We also strongly recommend the practice of "pre-order campaigns" to pre-emptively gauge the interest of a physical PSVita release. The european releases of Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2 and Senran Kagura 2 and the north american release of Summon Night 5 proved that the "pre-order campaign" method works and gives fans a way to show their support.
What we ask is for Bandai Namco Europe & America to listen to the voice of Digimon fans that asked for this localization since the day of its announcement, and consider releasing a physical edition of Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth for Europe and/or North America.
