As of May 9th 2018 Dark souls: Prepare to Die Edition was taken off of the steam store. This reason was so that Dark Souls Remastered could be sold.For people who had purchased Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition Before hand, they were to pay half the price for the Remaster, Than someone who hadn't bought it.What I wish to happen and a lot of people is for Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition to be brought back to the steam store at its original price.Why we want this is simple.Dark Souls Remastered, in the eyes of the community, is a version of Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition, but with a graphics mod installed, and a Mod Created by Durante, a member of the community, called DSFix. However you may be saying "But if the original game were to come back, wouldn't people just use it for the half off price of the Remaster?". And to that I say it would be pointless. As of the now the remaster stands at 40$. If they were to purchase the 20$ original.And then Purchase the remaster. They would be spending 40$ over all making buying both of them pointless,since they are the same game but not really different.The Remaster itself is, In my opinion "just Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition, with a new coat of paint". So if you took away this 50% off deal for previous owners, then there would be no point to take Prepare to Die Edition off the steam store.But this is only a recommendation.It would please the community you have had a hand in building up for so long.I truly care as I have been a fan of this series ever since the release of Dark souls back in 2011,and it made me sad to see it be taken off the store.And Personally all I think needs to happen is to Place Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition back onto the Steam Platform for Purchase.And to possibly remove the 50% Discount for the Remaster for previous owners.If at least the game can be returned to the steam platform, that will be enough.
