Urge Bancroft to stop putting feral cats in SHELTERS

Urge Bancroft to stop putting feral cats in SHELTERS
The Issue
UPDATE: BANCROFT HAS CONTACTED ANIMAL CONTROL AND SO FAR 5-10 CATS HAVE BEEN TRAPPED AND TAKEN TO CAMDEN ANIMAL SHELTER. ALTHOUGH CAMDEN COUNTY IS WORKING HARD TOWARD THEIR VISION OF BECOMING A NO KILL, THEY ARE CURRENTLY NOT A NO KILL. THE SHELTER IS THANKFULLY WORKING WITH US TO GET THE CATS OUT OF THE SHELTER.
Although there was an agreement with the previous director of Bancroft School, the new director refuses to honor it. I had an agreement to oversee, sterilize and vaccinate (with my own money) the colony of 21 cats which reside in the woods behind Bancroft in Cherry Hill NJ. Part of the agreement was that I was responsible for managing the colony. I provided the cats with medical attention, daily food/water, and shelters. Since the new director has been hired, their staff has thrown the cat shelters in the trash (the day before a terrible snow storm) and called the police to ensure I do not step foot on their property. I was only using their property as an entry point because it was the easiest way to access the woods where the cats reside. The director and security staff has made it clear that they do not want the cats NEAR their property. I respect their right to take humane measures to keep the cats off of their property, but luring the cats from the woods to trap them, and taking them to a shelter to await their death is completely unnecessary and cruel.
Tell Bancroft to respect animal life and practice peaceful coexistence.
Please contact Director Jenna at jenna.forziati@bancroft.org and or CEO Tony at toni.pergolin@bancroft.org and politely urge them to cease the pursuit of killing cats.
