Ban YouTube from existing due to violations
Ban YouTube from existing due to violations
The Issue
On September 7th, 2026, a devoted YouTube creator known to many as Ricky witnessed an unjust action that left them reeling. Ricky's YouTube account was abruptly terminated, apparantly without cause and allegedly in violation of YouTube’s very own Terms of Service. However, this incident is not an isolated one. Many content creators like Ricky have faced arbitrary strikes, account suspensions, and even account deletions due to what appears to be a broken system.
YouTube, despite its popularity, has become a host for numerous issues that not only affect content creators but viewers too. The site has become infested with Pornbots, Spambots, and other malicious actors, polluting our viewing experience and making the platform increasingly hostile for everyone. Moreover, false strikes and unjust bans have jeopardized the livelihoods, dreams, and hard work of so many creators who rely on YouTube as a platform to share their voice.
It's time that these actions are addressed, and the responsibility lies on YouTube to enforce regulations that don't only favour large corporations, but protect the individual creators who drive the community.
We propose that if YouTube cannot self-regulate and maintain a fair platform, the solution may be a drastic one: banning YouTube from existing as it currently does. This isn't merely a step towards punishment, but a call to action for a complete overhaul of the way YouTube operates. From better regulations and monitoring of content, purging spambots and better enforcing owner rights, YouTube must reconceive its structure and policies.
Join us in this movement to hold YouTube accountable for its indiscretions. Let’s fight for a platform that is fair, free from false accusations, and free from the clutter of spambot accounts. Let’s ensure that content creators, like Ricky, are protected and can continue to create without fear of unjust retribution.
Sign this petition and help demand change at YouTube—change that is much needed and long overdue. Your signature signifies a stand against injustice. It’s time YouTube listens to its creators and communities.
