HOW WOULD IT FEEL TO BE AWAKENED AT 3AM BY POLICE POUNDING ON YOUR DOOR OR TO SEE YOUR NAME IN THE POLICE LOG AS ALLEGEDLY HAVING MADE METH BECAUSE YOU MADE A JOKE ON YOUTUBE.

THE POSSIBILITY IS VERY, VERY REAL.

YouTube needs BAN CREATORS who dox, swat, call CPS, call the police, or lie to start false legal proceedings when they get their feelings hurt.  It could happen to any of us and once your name is out there and associated with a crime the damage is done. People lose their jobs, get slandered, get served for crimes they haven't committed, have to spend thousands of dollars on lawyers, and have to waste time going to court.  This has gone too far.  IT HAPPENS EVERYDAY AND IT CAN HAPPEN TO YOU AND IF IT DOES YOU HAVE NO RECOURSE THROUGH YOUTUBE. AND UNLESS YOU WANT TO SUE OR COUNTERSUE (WHICH COSTS MONEY) YOU HAVE NO RECOURSE OUTSIDE OF YOUTUBE.

YouTube is clear that they will not take legal action against creators who do this and that is perfectly understandable.  However, there needs to be a zero-tolerance policy that if a creator does any of these actions they will be permanently banned from YouTube.

Right now there is no penalty for doing this. What will it take for YT to wake up?  A creator lies and calls LE stating there's a meth house full of guns. LE, on high alert, gets to the house to find an autistic child playing with an old toy gun made before they had to have orange on the gun. The child doesn't understand to put the gun down, LE thinks it's real and shoots the child dead - all over someone having hurt feelings. Is that what needs to happen for this to stop? Let's not let this go that far.

Here are the specifics:

If a creator does any of the below actions and the creator can not prove with substantial evidence that the actions they took were done in good faith and with good cause they will forfeit the privilege of having a channel.

1.  Intentional and malicious doxing of another creator such that damages occur either to them personally or professionally or damages occur to a member of their family.

2. Intentional and malicious reporting to LE of a meritless crime that causes the other creator to be swatted or have the police come to their home or business.

3. Intentional and malicious phone calls to CPS stating children are in danger without merit.  The creator will need to have direct evidence of wrong-doing.  That means the creator needs to see the actual harm on camera and document what they see.

4. Intentional and malicious filing of an order of protection, restraining order, or other lawsuits without merit.  Whether or not the suit is without merit will be determined by the judge's ruling (if it goes to that) or if damages occur and the creator can not show proof of crime or evidence of the other creator causing them harm.
