As a passionate advocate for the preservation of our national symbol, the Bald Eagle, I am deeply concerned about the threat posed by windmills. These structures are not only unnecessary due to our abundant oil and gas reserves but are also causing harm to these majestic creatures. It is estimated that thousands of birds die each year due to collisions with wind turbines (source: U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service). This includes our precious Bald Eagles, which are not just amazingly beautiful, smart, wise and strong but also a symbol of American strength and prosperity.

In addition to this ecological disaster, it has come to light that 30 permits were issued during Obama's administration allowing for the unintentional killing of these magnificent birds. This is unacceptable! No one should have the right or authority to sanction such actions.

Wind energy may seem like a good idea on paper but considering its impact on wildlife and given that we have enough oil and gas resources here in America - it does more harm than good.
