The last update was the advice from top US clinics on 'overcoming nicotine addiction'. That update appears not to have been emailed out although posted on the petition site. It is added below* for context.
The current update compares the online advice provided by the Australia, US and NZ governments for quitting vaping. (It is again depressing.)

(Maybe a new petition is needed, run by someone else, and requesting clear information for the NZ public about 1. risks of vaping, including lung inflammation and scarring etc nicotine effects including impaired neural development etc and 2. how to quit vaping.)
A search for online 'quitting vaping' material revealed the following:
New Zealand -
1. 'Protect your breath' from Te Whatu Ora is basically a list of what research is being done on vaping.

2. The NZ Drug and alcohol hotline- drugs A-Z https://alcoholdrughelp.org.nz/
Go to drugs A-Z out- Scroll down - vapes are not listed! Alcohol, tobacco et al are.
3. Quitline, the primary site presumably, provides minimal information about vaping harm, similar to the Te Whatu Ora site featured in a previous update, seriously understating the risks. Any real info is in 'small print' within links to scientific papers. It does not provide strategies to quit, just a box to sign up, and it appears that this is to just support those trying to quit cigarettes, using vaping! Click on this - it is disturbing.

Australia -
Gives good comprehensive tools and information for quitting vaping on this site:

USA -
Also, good comprehensive tools and information here:

A piece published by RNZ earlier this year contains better, if very brief, information than the NZ help sites.

* The previous update
Material in the links below, from 2 of the most respected clinics in the US, probably provide the most authoritative online advice for 'overcoming nicotine addiction'.
(The advice given in them could be the basis for 'the ad campaign' suggested in the last update and in which the government might tell NZ the truth about vaping risks and provides strategies on how to quit both smoking and vaping.)
They provide a brief insight into withdrawal, peak times of symptoms, how to ride through these, when you start to feel better.

https://www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-lifestyle/quit-smoking/in-depth/nicotine-craving/art-20045454
Note: NRT(nicotine replacement therapy) is included as one of the strategies, with a protocol of gradual dose reduction, but NRT is not safe for children or pregnant women and some others, just as vaping isn't..
