To prevent the extinction of our world's animal species, I propose a petition to pass legislation to outlaw the hunting of animal species for trophy reasons. The existence of thousands of species are at risk through the practice of trophy hunting. Thousands of animal species are being hunted down, killed for sport, and sold for profit. Not only is the life of animal species being put at risk, but also the biodiversity of our planet through the loss of these vital species. It's time for government authority to take action and protect the millions of animal species that inhabit our world. By signing this petition we demand that the government enacts laws to ban all forms of trophy hunting, make punishments harsher for hunters who trophy hunt and to fund campaigns for anti-poaching efforts. With these laws in effect hopefully, we can see an increase in animal populations that have been affected by trophy hunting and a decrease in poaching.
