Around the world elephants are trained using a traumatic training method called ‘crush’. This involves separating elephant calves from mothers, depriving them of food and water, and in many cases abusing them repeatedly until they are broken and can be controlled by fear. There is a video going round on TikTok also on @officialpeta of a group of people making elephants scream in pain just so they can train them using fear. All of this is done so people and go and ride them, or touch them etc. Elephants should not have this done to them for our pleasure!! 

I decided to start this petition because I realised after looking at the comments on the TikTok video how many people want to act and stop this but don’t know how. I realised I could start a petition. I want to try and get as much attention to this as possible as countless of people do not know. 

If more attention is raised then the less people will visit these attractions (which by the way are usually falsely advertised as ‘sanctuaries’, ‘rescue centres’ or as ‘ethical’) it will slowly go out of business and this cruelty can stop! 

So please sign this petition to stop (There are also other petitions out there for multiple other animals like monkeys which are treated the same)!
