Ban Tractor Trailers, Enforce Speed Limit on Residential Streets in in Orangetown, NY!

Ban Tractor Trailers, Enforce Speed Limit on Residential Streets in in Orangetown, NY!
The Issue
Speeding cars and tractor trailers are runing our quality of life in Tappan (Washington St.), Sparkill (Main St. Williams St), Piermont, Blauvelt, West Nyack (Kings Highway, Sickletown Road)!
It is a shame that we live in a beautiful residential area with historic monuments, parks, pier, playgrounds, entranceways to rail trails, local restaurants, post office, hair salon, and art galleries but we are forced to drive instead of living a healthy lifestyle of walking in our neighborhood.
Accidents are happening regularly and the safety of our children, family, elderly and pets are in danger every day.
Many of us have attended town meetings, wrote letters, and emailed our town and county officials offering plausible solutions and asking for help. Let's all come together as a community and meet with the town and explore all options for providing better safely measures on our streets.
Please take a moment to sign this petition and to spread the word to your neighbors and local shops and restaurants.
Together, we can make Rockland's Streets Safe!

Thank you,
