I am asking for your help to stop the offshore windfarm that is sanctioned by our NSW Energy Minister. These Windfarms are detrimental to our Environment, Wildlife e.g. Migrating Whales, Eagles as well as a visual Pollution to our Coastline as they will be visible from shore, due to the fact that each Turbine stands up to 260metres in height, not to mention those people who have spent their Retirement savings on High Rise Living I am sure they will not want them as their view, not to mention the red haze all night as each turbine has a red light on top of it, which will also be a deterent to night fishing birds.

The Environmental risks involved:-

Both the production and waste processing of windmills are not environmentally friendly, due to the fact that the wind turbines cannot be recycled.

Injury or death to thousands of vulnerable endangered and critically endangered marine and wildlife species who are known to use the are of the Wind Farm as a migratory pathway.

Due to the fact that each turbine will need to be anchored to the sea floor using hundreds of meters of steel cable or chain, the risk to marine life is enormous and once these vulnerable marine life become entangled they will die.

Fishing grounds will be greatly impacted and the livelihoods of our Commercial Fisherman.

The enormous cost of constructing and maintaining these Wind farms will defeat its purpose of the 8% electricity production it is purported to only supply.   The cost far outweighs it purpose.

The Turbines produce noise and alter visual aesthetics. There has not been enough research done on the impact of the wind generated by the blades on wildlife.   Sea birds have been greatly impacted and they have been known to be hit by the rotating blades.

Floating Wind Turbines have been identified to greatly reduce overall swell and causing surface water disturbance which will decrease wave speed and power, which will destroy the surf breaks.
